California Connoisseurs 6 Bottle Wine Kits

These notes are copied from the Vineco product guide.

These kits contain all of the ingredients you need to make around 6 bottles of good quality wine.   You need a sterilized 4.5/5 Litre (1 gallon) fermenter, airlock and bung and water at about 20°C.   They should be fermented at an ambient temperature of between 18°C and 22°C.

The instructions in these wine kits are laid out well and are easy to follow.

The 6 bottle kits contain 1.5 litres of concentrate .

White Wine Kits

California Riesling - Smooth, medium-bodied table wine with a fresh citrus bouquet.

California White - A special French Colombard blend developed by our winemaster shows rich straw colour and smooth fruit flavour.

Chamblaise - A Chardonnay blend producing a fresh, crisp dry wine with hints of apple and pear.

Chardonnay/Semillon - This unique blend is straw to pale gold in colour with a smooth and dry lingering finish.

French Colombard - This crow pleaser is smooth and soft with a clean finish - best consumed young.

Gewurztraminer - A distinctive white wine with a floral bouquet and spicy citrus flavours.

Johannisberg Riesling - A light-bodied wine with a flowery bouquet and fruity flavours of lime, apricot and honey.

Liebfraumilch - A popular German style wine featuring the Johannisberg Riesling grape.   Light and fruity with a delicate bouquet.

Pinot Blanc - A medium-bodied, delicate wine with an elegant soft palate and velvety fragrance.

Pinot Chardonny - A clean, crisp and dry wine producing a fruit-forward taste with a delicate floral aroma.

Pinot Grigio - A majestically soft, dry white wine that is low in acidity with slight peach flavours.

Sauvignon Blanc - A dry medium-bodied, delicate wine with subtle grassy, herbal aromas.

Rose or Blush Wine Kit

White Zinfandel - An extremely popular fruity, very light rose wine.

Zinfandel Blush - A flavourful, medium-bodied rose with an attractive fruity bouquet.

Red Wine Kits

Barolla used to be called Barolo - Deep in colour and high in tannin, this Italian classic is full-bodied and robust with black fruit flavours.

Cabernet Merlot - A well known blend of the rich, dry Cabernet and fruity, soft Merlot.   Warm, full-bodied with a berry bouquet.

Cabernet Sauvignon - This wine is deep in colour and soft tannins and is full of berry and black currant flavours.

California Red - A dry, easy drinking, light-bodied red wine.

Cantia used to be called Chianti - A lively, fresh and fruity wine produced from classic grape varieties.

Merlot - An exceptionally soft and smooth wine which is low in tannin with rich blackberry and strawberry flavours.

Pinot Noir - A wine rich in complexity with a velvety finish, full of spices and fruit with hints of cherry and strawberry.

Rojo Tinto used to be called Roija Tinto - Spain's answer to Chianti, this depply coloured wine has concentrated fruit with a medium body.   Soft and mellow with moderate tannins.

Shiraz - A rich dark red wine that has a ripe strawberry bouquet.   Flavours of plum, spice and blackberry with firm tannins.

Vinocella used to be called Valpolicella - A dry, light to medium-bodied wine, full rich fruit flavours jumo out of the glass of this ruby red Italian style wine.

Vieux Chateau Du Roi - A robust yet smooth full-bodied wine with a bouquet of ripe berries and flavours of plum.

Zinfandel - A popular Californian wine, full-bodied with flavours of blackberry fruit followed by a peppery finish.
